The Transformers toys started before Autobots and Decepticons!

If there’s one toy line that has embraced change since its inception, it’s Transformers. In fact, that was the whole concept behind Transformers. Robots would change into objects like cars, planes, and household items, and then they would change back again. As a toy line, Transformers has been through a lot of changes since its debut in the United States in 1984. Over 20 years later, the Transformers brand is still extremely strong, and it has been made even stronger by the success of 2007’s summer blockbuster movie based on the toys.
