Since the dawn of action figures, toy-makers quickly caught on to the fact that if kids love a character, then they'll also love variations on that character. Often the variation is just a small matter of giving a figure's existing mold a new paint job, or taking it way further by giving the figure a completely new sculpt. One inspiration that drives this habit of toy companies to make so many variations is the fact that when collectors fall in love with a particular character, they practically have to have all the variations in order to make their collections complete.

In this case, we'll take a closer look at two figure variations of the same character, from the same toy company, but which are completely different in look, design and success as a fan favorite.
