Review: Star Wars Legacy Collection R2D2 Action Figure

By , About.com Guide

As a long time Star Wars fanatic, I have always wanted that ultimate R2D2 action figure. It started when I was a kid and got my first Artoo figure in 1978. That one wasn't quite right because it only had two legs, when in the movie he clearly had three. Later, with the Power of the Force line that launched in the '90s, we finally got a proper three-legged Artoo, but now I wished it made sounds or rolled around by remote control. A later PotF Artoo figure came out that did make those classic sounds, and even his singular lens of an eye lit up! But now you couldn't move his head.

Now, most recently, Target stores have been carrying an exclusive 1:18 scale remote control R2D2, that unfortunately rolls on its own and has a light up eye, but doesn't make any noise. What doess an Artoo Deetoo fan have to do to get a fingure that does them all? Well, so far, we can just keep on wishing.

In this review, we'll take a look at another "talking" Artoo figure, that's a lot of the same old thing.
