The Mystery Inc. gang wouldn't be complete without at least one member being capable of showing some courage. This is where Freddie comes in. Freddie often plays the voice of reason in the group when things are going haywire and everyone is running from a monster made of electricity. He's the one with the clever plans, often coming up with elaborate traps and is usually delegated with the honor of ripping the rubber mask off of which ever crabby old man is in the ghost costume that week.
And let's not forget the most important thing that Freddie brings to the group; he owns one of the coolest vans in the history of cartoons, the Mystery Machine.
