Hasbro's G.I. Joe 25th Anniversary action figure line is proving to be a big hit with G.I Joe fans of all ages. The line includes modernized reproductions of their classic 1982 3 3/4" action figures such as Roadblock, Scarlett, Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander.
Aimed more at collectors, these figures offer a nostalgic look back at the figures they loved as kids. However, that doesn't mean that the figures are so specialized that they can't be found easily in most toy departments in stores like Target and Toys-R-Us.
A Closer Look at Snake Eyes
Snake Eyes, the G.I. Joe weapons specialist and saboteur, has long been a fan favorite for G.I. Joe collectors since his first appearance in 1982. His design alone helped him stand out from the usual G.I. Joe member with his all-black outfit and mysterious secret identity. Couple that with his historical mystique and proficiency with all bladed weapons and small arms and you have the makings of an action figure of legendary status.
The Packaging
Fans will note the retro-style blister cards that feature the same classic dynamic graphics of the classic series, with its original logo, iconic explosive background and hand painted illustration of the character in action.
The backs of the cards still boast a series of small portraits of other figures in the line along with the usual "file cards" that list the figures file name, military specialties and character history.
The Figure Itself
The Snake Eyes action figure is several steps up from the original while still staying true to its original design. The figure still captures all of the classic mystique of the original figure but has been given a huge boost in design with many more points of articulation and finely detailed sculpts. Snake Eyes is clad all in black with his signature mask and goggles and bristling with weapons, ammo pouches and grenades.

The Snake Eyes action figure is destined to be successful due to the characters long held fame with fans and collectors. The figure's whopping 20 points of articulation take the figure from great to awesome, allowing it to hold a multitude of realistic combat poses, making for even greater displays.
Little features such as the holster designed to hold the .45 caliber handgun and the leg sheath that holds the combat dagger add a level of realism cherished by collectors.
The figure stand, complete with G.I. Joe logo and foot pegs that insert snugly into holes on the bottom of the figure's feet make for excellent displaying.
