Who You Gonna Call?
For fans of movies from the 1980s, there are few movies more important and entertaining than Ghostbusters. It's an all-time comedy classic, and for such a hit film, there have been surprisingly few action figure releases throughout the years based on it. With iconic character designs and a plethora of ghosts from which to pull, that has always been a surprising fact.
So the return to the classic franchise by Mattel in 2009 is a much-beloved one by a number of fans still looking to scratch their Ghostbusters action figure itch. The various lines haven't been that successful and are oft complained about, so the future of the brand remains questionable. Although the likely upcoming movie may bring even more Ghostbusters figures into a life of plastic.
This checklist is separated into three sections. First is the 6-inch Classics line which features a variety of well articulated versions of the main characters from the first two films, each coming with a ghost or major accessory. Second is the 12-inch line, which only includes the 4 main Ghostbusters in a typical 1/6 scale with full cloth costumes and a plethora of accessories. Finally there is the Retro line, which bases its designs around The Real Ghostbusters cartoons, with figures in an 8-inch Mego style.

Very few of the individual figures stand out as incredible pieces, but the line as a whole should not disappoint any major Ghostbusters fans out there.
