G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero Celebrates 25 Years

Saturday December 1, 2007
G.I.Joe: A Real American Hero started with a small assortment of basic action figures and vehicles back in 1982. Twenty-fives years later, it's one of the most influential toy lines of all time. In fact, I ranked the line number one in my Top Action Figures of the 1980's List.

If you love G.I.Joe, then you'll love the twenty-fifth anniversary line that Hasbro has released this year. It takes some of G.I.Joe figures and updates them for the twenty-first century while remaining true to the original vision by basing the design of both the figures and the card art exactly on the originals.

I've created my largest image gallery yet to show just how excited Hasbro is about their G.I.Joe line. I've also created it to help you shop this holiday season for the action figure collector in your life. These figures are extremely hard to find at retail, far exceeding Hasbro's expectations of the line. Hasbro has promised that more figures will hit shelves in the coming weeks, but for now, keep your eyes open for figures from the first three series, and be aware of hard to find and desirable variations!
