Minifigures in History and the History of Minifigures

By , About.com GuideFebruary 29, 2012

There's no action figure that's more prolific than the Lego minifigure. They've remained almost unchanged for nearly 35 years, and their total production numbers have topped four billion! I've got a couple new articles covering the legacy of this vastly important figure.

First up is a look at a book featuring the small yellow characters in a major way. Take a few minutes to read about The Brick Bible, an adaptation of the classic text told completely in photographs of Lego minifigures. If you love looking at action figures and creative poses, you'll want to check this one out.

And for those of you with an interest in the historical side of action figures, spend some time reading through this history of the Lego minifigure. There are some interesting tidbits about the classic figure's past that every collector should know.
