Mattel announced today that there will be some major changes to the 2012 Masters of the Universe Classics release schedule. This comes after a number of collectors failed to receive their December 2011 shipment for Demo-Man in a timely manner. According to Mattel, Demo-Man will be shipping out in "the next few days", so that's good news if you're still waiting to receive yours.
The changes are too numerous to detail here, so take at look at Mattel's official announcement to get filled in on the details. The take-away points are that many subscription figures will be pushed back a month and the schedule should be returning to normal by July. This is another of many unfortunate missteps in the Masters of the Universe Classics line.
It's already asking a lot of collectors to subscribe for an entire year to unpredictable figure releases, but when schedules change and service is handled this poorly, it makes collecting this line even more trying. I hope collectors remain patient and I hope Mattel gets organized, in order to keep one of the best lines in the action figure world going strong.
