Just to give all of my dear readers a quick heads-up, Toyrocket.com, a website specializing in action figures and similar collectibles is having one serious monster of a sale right now. In fact, I bought a Batman figure I've never even heard of, an Indiana Jones deluxe set, the Batman/Batgirl Microman 2 Pack and the Threepio/Artoo McQuarrie set less that $20 total. This is no joke, people!
Now, just to keep things clear, I have no stock in this company, nor did they ask me to promote this for them, but I thought you all would like to get in on some of the cheap action figure action, so to speak. It must also be said that I, nor About.com, take any responsibility for Toyrocket's sales, shipping practices, billing practices or any other of that stuff. To be honest, I've heard both good and bad things about this company through the grapevine, so shop at your own risk.
Still, cheap action figures are cheap action figures, so it's up to you. There are rumors that the company has had to file bankruptcy and are moving their offices, but again, I have no idea if any of that is true or not. But it may explain why they're selling off stock crazy cheap.
All I know is that when (if) my figures arrive, I'm going to be one happy little collector, and if you're the risk-taking type, you could be too. To get in on the action, visit www.toyrocket.com. Good luck, kids.

That was awesome. Thanks for the heads-up.
I just picked up 11 figures I’ve been looking for but not wanting to pay what others were offering.
Did you receive your order? I’m trying to decide if it’s safe to order from them given the bankruptcy issue.
Sorry, that was a dumb question since you just ordered Wednesday. It looks like their processing time is longer than usual at 5-7 days now. A friend of mine ordered Sunday evening and his order still hasn’t shipped.
Oh, and I can confirm the bankruptcy rumor first-hand. I’ve gotten letters from the attorney. I’ve also gotten the emails from them saying they’ve moved.
Yep, I placed my order 9 business days ago and have yet to hear that it has even been shipped. I reached a customer service rep last week who said it was going to ship this past Friday, but still no email. I tried calling the customer service department, but no one is available and the answering maching is full. No one available for online chat either. I think these guys had a huge sale to attract some dollars, which probably wasn’t enough and now they have closed up shop, leaving “bargain hunters” with a hole in their wallet. NOT HAPPY.
Don’t worry yet, gang! I’ve been hearing from people every day for the past week that they have been receiving their stuff from Toyrocket. Many of them found stuff waiting on their doorstep without ever receiving a shipment notice!
Also, I imagine that they are way overwhelmed with orders so it may take longer than usual and considering the killer deals I got, I’m willing to wait a little longer.
I say relax. We’ll all be up to our eyeballs in action figures soon enough!
I placed my order nearly one month ago now, on the first day of the sale. So far I’ve received nothing. They haven’t shipped anything and in the past two weeks they’ve completely stopped responding to emails. I asked one week ago for them to just cancel my order, I wanted the whole thing over with, but they didn’t reply to that either. I’ve had to put in a claim with PayPal to try to get my money back.
I ordered on November.9 , and haven’t recieved anything yet . I’ve sent a couple of e-mails and they have responded quick enough. They said because of the sale they are way behind on their shipments blah blah blah. Anyways in the last e-mail I recieved they said that everyone who ordered during the BIG sale would get their packages before xmas GUARANTEED. That is why they had the sale in November. So…we’ll see.
Hi Chelsey
Please tell me how you got hold of them,as i’ve sent three e-mails over the past month with no luck. All i want is my EMS Tracking number. This is the least they can do as i’ve spent $185.00 on my last order “BIG SALE” on the 9 November 2009,and over a thousand in the past year.Just show some honesty and respect to the client with out looking like a fraudster to make up their losses with fake sales.
I just e-mailed them using the form on their website.
I forgot to come back to leave an update. My first order shipped 7 days after the order was placed and I received it within a few days. But, the 2nd order I placed on 11/13 never shipped. I followed up about two weeks ago and was told it would take another 7 days or so even though it ha already been a month. 7 days later, still nothing. I emailed yesterday to express concern about not receiving the order in time for Christmas, and they responded saying it would ship by the end of yesterday. I still haven’t gotten a shipping notice, but hopefully it went out and I’ll have it by Monday.
Anyway, I realize a month is unacceptable, and starting a 25% off sale now is pretty irresponsible when they haven’t fulfilled orders from the last sale, but it looks like they are still making good on the orders. Just stay on them via email and hopefully everyone’s orders will come through.
i feel your pain as i too ordered on november 20th and only after multiple emails (i mean close to 20 from 3 seperate email address was it that i got anything other than their standard automated message about moving to a streamline something… Anyway this email they sent said my order shipped on Dec 3rd (which is a long way for the 3 processing days it takes. They also provided me with a tracking number but not much comes up on usps website as my order was suppose to be shipped via international air mail.
Now for those of you wanting a reaction from these peple i suggest contacting the Better Business Bureau of California (google it) You can see toyrocket.com has surprisingly been a member of the better business bureau for 8 years and they take notice when you mention you have or will file a complaint with the BBB, also you should file a complaint with USPS as well as paypal or credit card company. Good Luck on your orders folks
Merry Christmas (or at least it will be if our toys arrive!)
