Femme Fatale Action Figures Designed to Turn Heads from Guru Toys

Are you like me and love your G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra Baroness action figure, but just wish that she was showing a little more "up top"? Well, wish no more! Thanks to the fine folks at Spylounge.net and Guru Toys, you can have your very own made-for-action female action figure that comes with an array of firearms, bladed weapons, ninja masks and showing enough cleavage to make Grandma choke on her afternoon biscuit.

Actually, I have no idea what the motivation behind these highly specialized action figures may be, but it's hard to deny what is staring us right in the face. Let's face it, every industry has used the image of the sultry and tactically capable young woman to sell products, from low-calorie beer to tortilla chips, and this image is far from a stranger to the action figure industry (ahem, ahem... *coughSPAWNcough*), so I tip my hat to the gang at Guru Toys for skipping all the coy pretense and offering collectors an honest take on what they all really want; tough women who are clearly not afraid to look hot kicking some bad guy's butt.

In all honesty, I'm not sure what to make of these figures. There is a part of me that wants to take the high road and declare them as banal and crude, but another part of me thinks they're utterly hot, and my hypocrisy can only be stretched so far. Beside any moral conundrums I may have, the figures also come with a brilliant collection of accessories, which is refreshing in these times where many figures come with nothing more than a paint job and a smile.

Rest assured, dear readers, that I'll be ordering a couple of these figures for a future review. Not because I want to, but because I have to, as it is my duty to you who look to me for action figure guidance. That, and the fact that I really want one. Because they're hot. There... I admit it.
