I've come up with a list of the top five action figure lines based on the holidays. I was kind of impressed to see how many action figures have been created specifically for this time of year, but as you'll see from the list, this is a fairly new trend, since all of the action figure lines that made the list came out after 2000.

When creating the list, I realized that there were going to be some great action figures left off the list for one reason or another, so if one of your favorite action figure lines based on Christmas isn't on my list, don't think that it's not a great holiday toy line.

It's a little late to hunt down any of these action figures for a holiday display this year, so be smart and buy them during the spring and summer when most people aren't thinking about Christmas. Holiday action figures almost always command a premium this time of year because this is when collectors want them the most.
